Shipping and Delivery

Last Updated: February 1, 2026.

At Strokes & Splinters, delivery is treated as an extension of the artwork experience. Each piece is handled with museum-level care to ensure it arrives safely, securely, and in pristine condition.

1. Delivery Approach

All shipments are arranged individually after acquisition confirmation. Because each artwork is unique in size, material, and destination, delivery is customized rather than standardized.

We coordinate:

  • professional packaging

  • secure transit

  • insurance coverage

  • documentation

Collectors are personally guided through delivery arrangements once the purchase is finalized.

2. Processing Timeline

Shipping preparation begins after cleared payment and typically includes:

  • condition inspection

  • protective wrapping

  • custom crating (if required)

  • documentation preparation

Preparation time generally ranges from 3–10 business days, depending on artwork complexity.

3. International Shipping

We proudly place artworks with collectors worldwide. International deliveries include:

  • export documentation

  • customs paperwork

  • transit insurance

  • tracking coordination

Estimated delivery times range from 5–14 business days, depending on destination and customs clearance.

4. Customs Duties & Import Taxes

International collectors are responsible for any applicable:

  • customs duties

  • import taxes

  • VAT or local fees

These charges are determined by the destination country and are not controlled by our gallery. We recommend consulting your local customs authority for estimated costs before purchase.

5. Packaging Standards

All artworks are packaged according to professional fine-art transport standards, which may include:

  • acid-free wrapping

  • reinforced corner protection

  • shock-absorbing layers

  • climate-protective materials

  • custom crates for delicate works

Our goal is simple: the artwork should arrive exactly as it left the studio.

6. Insurance Coverage

Every shipment is fully insured for its declared value during transit. In the rare event of damage, our team will manage the claims process directly and discreetly.

7. Delivery Confirmation

Collectors may be asked to sign for delivery upon receipt. This ensures a secure handover and confirms safe arrival.

8. Address Accuracy

Collectors are responsible for providing accurate delivery details. We cannot be held responsible for delays or losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete shipping information.
